Bob Jones has been a leader of several organizations in this geographic area and has the exact background to help further the mission of the Nasson Community Center/Little Theatre—a multi-purpose facility uniquely designed to accommodate the social, athletic, theatrical, musical, business and professional needs of the southern Maine region.

After graduating from Old Lyme High School, Bob received a BS Degree in Chemistry/Biology from Nasson College in 1980. He worked for the Baker Company for ten years as a Researcher for New Product Development and has authored over 20 papers on biological safety issues.

 
 
 
 
Robert (Bob) Jones

For the past 14 years, he has also been the owner, treasurer and manager of the Spectators Sports Bar, and the owner and President of H & J, a company that rents to three business, overseeing the maintenance of an 18,000 square foot building and parking lot. He is responsible for all of the coordination and management of functions such as comedy shows, weddings, parties, fundraisers, etc. He also has participated in many different sports organizations, both locally and in surrounding communities. Some of the organizational experiences he has had regarding sports are such as being Athletic Director at the Acton Junior High School which includes scheduling and budgeting, President of Acton Recreation; President of Waterboro Softball League; Coach for women's softball team; kids' soccer; basketball and baseball coach. Bringing with him this management, maintenance, fundraising, and sports organizational experience is very important and beneficial as he assumes the responsibility of the management of the Nasson Community Center/Little Theatre.

To quote Bob directly, “It is important to me, as a Nasson graduate, to keep the Nasson name alive and be a positive influence in the community. I believe that the potential influx of fresh ideas from me to the Board on how to raise funds, promote events and improve the quality of the venue is important to the long-term success of the Community Center.”
